Hi, we’re SpiderERC.

We’re a specialized financial services firm that helps small businesses and nonprofit organizations obtain the Employee Retention Credit (ERC) from the US government.

Just a few months ago, few small business owners had even heard of the ERC. Now, chances are you’ve received spam emails and advertising about it.  We encourage you not to believe the hype!  But the ERC is real (read this IRS document about it) and we’ve helped our clients receive millions of dollars of it. The key is working with the right partner to get the credit to which you’re entitled.

If your business, religious institution, or nonprofit had W2 employees in 2020 or 2021, chances are you are eligible — even if you received a PPP loan, and even if you didn’t lose money. The ERC is designed to help organizations who weathered the storm of the Covid-19 pandemic. And we’re here to help.

We pride ourselves on doing this work with integrity and transparency. We provide you with all the information, explanation, and documentation you need to properly establish your claim so that you can move forward with confidence.  With our team’s twenty years of experience in helping small businesses and nonprofits thrive, Spider ERC knows what it’s like to be responsible for your business, employees, and stakeholders. We take that responsibility seriously, and we’re here to earn your trust.

We hope our website will help you to learn about the ERC and make an informed decision about working with us, and we look forward to being in touch.

What is the Employee Retention Credit (ERC)?

ERC USA

The ERC is Here to Help Small Businesses

The ERC is a refundable tax credit available to small businesses and nonprofits affected by the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 or 2021. It was created by the CARES Act of 2020, and significantly expanded by subsequent legislation. The ERC provides a maximum of $26,000 per employee, as long as certain criteria are met (see next box).

Unfortunately, the rules governing the ERC are more complex than ordinary corporate tax law, and even most accountants are not conversant with them. However, SpiderERC specializes in preparing accurate, documented ERC claims, and can determine whether you’re eligible in a matter of minutes. We have obtained six-figure credits for several clients who hadn’t even heard of the ERC before they spoke with us.

You May Qualify If…

  1. You experienced at least a 20% loss in quarterly revenue in 2020 or 2021 compared with the same quarter in 2019, or
  2. You had to partially suspend business operations due to government-ordered pandemic restrictions, such as capacity limits, social distancing requirements, travel restrictions, or temporary closures or shutdowns.

There’s a common misconception that the ERC is available only to businesses which had to shut down entirely, or to essential businesses, or to businesses that didn’t receive a PPP loan. This is not the case! You can find out if your business qualifies for the ERC free of charge by filling out our pre-qualification form.

About SpiderERC

SpiderERC is a boutique financial firm solely focused on the ERC.  Our team has over twenty years of experience running small and medium sized businesses and nonprofits — we know what it’s like!  We bring that expertise and integrity to every ERC claim we file. We work directly with businesses and nonprofit organizations, and also with accountants and financial advisors who delegate to us the specialized task of processing ERC claims. Our team is entirely based in the United States, and can explain any questions you have.

Here’s what the process looks like:

First, contact us using this website, or by phone or email, to get in touch

Next, we’ll have an introductory conversation answering any questions you have about the ERC, how we work, our fees, and the qualification criteria for obtaining the ERC.

Then, if you’re ready to move forward, you’ll sign a simple consulting agreement and submit the necessary financial documents on our secure client portal. Note that we take no payment in advance; you only pay our fee after receiving your credit from the IRS.

Next, because our specialists know the complex regulations of the ERC inside and out, we can usually process your claim in as little as three days after receiving your financial information.  After we provide you with a full summary of the claim, together with the statutory bases and documentary evidence for it, you acknowledge that the claim is accurate and we file the requisite tax forms on your behalf.

Finally, after receiving the claim from the IRS (which often takes a few months) and remitting our fees, you receive a full dossier of all of the information you need to substantiate your claim if requested. Of course, we remain available to answer any questions that may arise.

So why “Spider”? As we like to say, we help our clients navigate the complex web of ERC regulations, so you can focus on your business and get the maximum credit you deserve.
